Biodiversity Photography Competition Winners at Paisley Museum..
08 October 2009

The Local Biodiversity Action Plan Partnership launched a Biodiversity Photography Competition during the summer to highlight the biodiversity that can be found in Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and East Renfrewshire.

The winning photographs are now on show at Paisley Museum and represent some of the amazing places and wildlife to be found in the district. The competition categories included ‘Special Places’, ‘Fauna’, ‘Flora’ and ‘Urban Wildlife’ and illustrate the rich diversity of nature in our local area.

The three partner authorities supported the competition with the judging panel comprising Councillor Iain Nicolson, Renfrewshire Council, Councillor Alistair Carmichael, East Renfrewshire Council, Councillor David Wilson, Inverclyde Council and Norman Tait, retired professional photographer and local wildlife photographer.

So why not head down to the museum to discover the wealth of wildlife on your doorstep as seen through the lens of a camera.

Paisley Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm and Sunday 2.00pm to 5.00pm
